Venetian Plaster is a marble plaster developed to produce a multi-sheen wall finish with a beautiful high polished stone appearance and feel. It is extremely durable as well as water resistant. VP can be used on interior or exterior surfaces, comes in a wide range of stock colors, but custom colors can be created. Because of it's durability, VP is suitable for large areas, such as kitchens or baths. It can also be used for embossed detailing as well as small textured patterned areas.

LusterStone™ is a fine, trowel applied plaster that results in a glimmering high/low finish. Like VP, it is extremely durable and can be used in similar applications. There is an extensive color palate and can also be custom mixed.

"Old-World" Plasters are made from actual marble dust and acrylic resin. Because of these properties, many textures can be created ranging from Stucco, Jigouille(Ji-joo-ee), old block and stone. It is a perfect medium for embossed detailing. Can be tinted, glazed over or painted. Extremely durable, suitable for any size area. Especially effective for walls in a state of disrepair. Interior or exterior surfaces.

Trompe L'Oeil is a French term meaning to "fool the eye". In decorative painting, trompe l'oeil techniques use the interplay of light and shadow to create an illusion of dimension and depth. Various architectural details include marble, wood, granite, sandstone block and exposed bricks. Water based paints and glazes are used to create these finishes. A top-coat of sealer/varnish or polyurethane is required to protect the final art. Applications can include fireplace surrounds, columns, architectural accents and furniture surfaces.

Metallics are ideal for making the old look new and the new look old. Although the products used are water based, an aged patina or verdigris finish can be achieved, mimicking gold, copper or bronze leaf. Metallic glazes can be applied over Old-World plasters to give a contemporary look or used in the same manner as a traditional glazing technique. The end result is sealed to protect the surface. The Shaibin gilding techniques are also available using Dutch-metal Leaf, perfect for enhancing small areas and architectural details ie; moulding, trim and fireplace surrounds.

Paints and Glazes. An extremely versatile combination with an endless color palette. Paints and glazes can create visual texture using techniques ie; color washes, strie, frottage, simulated fabrics (suede, linen, grass cloth, denim). Existing flat walls can be transformed into walls with dimension, depth & drama...the possibilities are endless.

SkimStone™ Concrete Systems. SkimStone produces a unique textured appearance on concrete floors and may be used for both interior and exterior applications. Though primarily intended for floors, SkimStone is versatile enough to use on many different substrates and virtually all concrete surfaces, including walls, countertops, and fireplace surrounds. It is a very economical alternative to traditional flooring material, yet more durable than other concrete color treatments because it contains Portland cement.

Variables-Circumstances. Most walls are able to accept most finishes. However, certain variables can come into play - wall condition, space restrictions, room size, architectural detail - that may hinder the application of the finish. In order not to disappoint a client, we will recommend the best finish for the space.
